Back to the Books

Well, here we go. Hittin up the books, er, web again. After being out of school for three years, I am so excited to be part of an online class and look foward to getting to know my classmates!

I (my name is Kristen by the way) just got back from Nags Head (engaged!) and I'm sure you can tell by my blog name that I am a true beach lover. I'll be sure to post some neat beach scenes on here as the weeks go by. Don't want to bore you! Pretty much my life right now is busy trying to plan a wedding, working full time at Pitt and of course trying to learn as much as I can from our classes. If anyone has advice on how to plan a wedding without the stress please feel free to email me with suggestions!! So far everything is coming along fairly smoothly, reception hall: check, DJ: check, Videographer: check, Florist: check, ceremony site: check. I still need some references for a Photographer and a Cake maker, so again, email me with your suggestions! Of course we are having a "beach themed" wedding so maybe I'll be able to get away with wearing flip flops.....

That about sums up my week so far and check out my "potential" ride to the church currently under construction by my fiance, Chris.... A true work in progress! For those of you who are not into Jeeps, this baby is a CJ-7.

Congrats on the engagement. I hope all of this school work and wedding planning doesn't keep you away from the beach for too long.

And I thought I was alone! Congrats on the engagement. I am also working full time at Temple, starting FastTrack, and planning a wedding. I will be married in early October. Good luck with the planning - and no, it will not be stress-free. Think about the details before the week of the wedding. And HAVE FUN!

Looks like everyone has great Blog sites. It should be an interesting term! Got my EndNote software today, now all I need to do is figure out how to use the thing....

Well the first week is coming to a close. As soon as I think I'm getting the hang of things, something throws me for a loop! Hopefully with the great enthusiasm everyone has, we will not go insane and figure this out. So great to get to know more people as the days go by!!

Week Two : Here we go! I am finally feeling much more comfortable with all of the programs, attachments, Firefox and discussions. This class is enjoyable b/c we actually get to create things for a grade. Love it.

Well, since I have "wedding on the mind" thought I'd let everyone know that I just need to pick my dress and a florist. Ahhh... sigh of relief.

Yesterday I posted my Kuhn Critique for LIS 2000, another sigh of relief! Anytime I ever hear the word paradigm, I think I'll shudder.....

Till next time!
